HYBRID VS SHARK by Eggplantm HYBRID VS SHARK by Eggplantm
Commission for :iconstigmartyr762: of his aptly named character "Hybrid".

Hybrid is an amalgam of jaguar, python, tiger shark and grizzly bear. He is facing off against a shark mutant or anthro of some kind depending on what setting you imagine him to be in.

Apparently Hybrid has a rule about one shark creature on the beach at a time. I'm just guessing here though.

This is my first serious attempt at a shark anthro or shark creature. I'm pretty happy with it. A few tweaks and I think this would have made a good cover.

Nice bite marks on the shark character. It's not often you see sharks getting bitten into. :p

Thanks! There is some Zombie movie, I think it is creatively just titled "Zombie", where a zombie fights a real shark underwater and is taking bites out of it. It is too weird and random to be believed.

Finally, a zombie movie where the zombie is the protagonist.

If this big brute was such an A-hole Hybrid would allow it on the beach.

But causing wanton destruction and trying to eat the beach goers is not gonna happen on Hybrids watch. :threaten:

That is one beefy mako. Awesome! The rendering looks better on the hybrid character for some reason.... especially in that left hand. Maybe it's because there is more color and texture on that character. But I also agree with above poster, great first attempt with the shark character. Sharks are the eternal evil in my book, and you did a good job at showing that, haha! :)

Wow, that's viciously dynamic...! The action really feels alive and professional thanks to the angle of the view, and the structure of the characters fighting!

Just an honest opinion. :meow:
But seriously, the entire piece looks like it's complementing each of it's elements, everything seems like it should be there, and nothing is out of place or over taking of something else! That also means that no matter where you start looking, you're vision goes right to where you want the viewer to go and-BOOM!! Massive pay off for the viewer by doing so!
This is one of the most difficult elements to capture for any one piece of art, and by gaining it, you add more power and amazement to what was already good. Keep it up! :dummy:

And this is your attempt for your first shark anthro? It rules heavily in the Super category in my book. Nicely done!
